Village News

Added on 12 October 2020

The interior of Horsley village church has now been redecorated. Work on improving access to the church is likely to start shortly. At present access is somewhat restricted for people  with mobility difficulties by the steep path and gravel.

It is over twenty years since I have spotted a red or grey squirrel in the village. It therefore came as quite a surprise to find one running along the fence at the top of my garden.

The Hearth trustees are doing their best to support the local community. With so many Covid 19 restrictions the annual two day winter art event has had to be cancelled. However the trustees are exploring alternative ways to make it easier for the general public to have access to our community artists. There have been a number of successful art courses and access to artists studios by appointment. Art can be purchased in the cafe. The cafe is open daily and take out items are available.

Members of Horsley village church are hoping to present a window of thankfulness in the church noticeboard. Community support networks have been invaluable during these difficult times.
