Horsley Parish Council

Village News

Added on 07 June 2020

Some local children went back to school last and several residents returned to work. There has been a noticeable increase in traffic through the village since 1st June and some residents are concerned about the speed of vehicles.  The x85 bus restarted on 1st June, although very few people seem to be using any of our local public transport.

All village clubs and events are still cancelled throughout the month of June.  However, the Hearth Arts Centre is going to explore ways in which it may begin to reopen and operate safely.  For the time being the cafe will continue to sell take away food and delivery groceries locally.  The days on which they are closed are Monday and Saturday.

Very few people are using the national trail in the north of the parish as there is no accommodation available for long distance walkers.

Sunflowers have been placed around the village planters at the ends of the village by Jude and John, many thanks for their efforts.
